Hello! My name is Kat Keifer. I grew up attending All Saints Church and All Saints School in Puyallup. In 1994, I moved away from the area for about 10 years, attending Naval Chapels in Bremerton, WA and Guam, as well as Ss. Peter & Paul Parish in New London, CT. When I moved back to the area in 2004 with my two children, Kyle & Kimberly Medley, I immediately began attending, and found my home at St Andrew, Sumner. It was here that I really began my personal relationship with Christ.
I immediately got involved at St. Andrew by helping with both the Junior High and High School Youth Groups, as well as attending the Young Adults. My husband, Andrew, and I studied Theology of the Body with the Young Adults before we were married, and all the teachings I grew up with finally made sense. Andrew also decided, while attending the Young Adults, to become Catholic. He was baptized and entered into full communion with the Church at the 2007 Easter Vigil. We were married at St. Andrew in July of that same year. My son, Kyle, is a Lector at the 5:30pm Youth Mass and my daughter, Kimberly, helps with the Pre-K Program at the 10:30am Mass.
I am part of a Small Christian Community and try to put God first in all that I do. I enjoy attending the Western Washington Catholic Charismatic Renewel (WWCCR) Annual Womens Retreat and try to make it to Healing Masses when I can. After taking a year off from helping with the Youth Groups, I am starting to volunteer my time there again. I will be helping our High School Youth to plan their Retreats, in order to get them more involved, active and excited about our Faith. I look forward to serving our community as a member of the Pastoral Council. Please feel free to bring your questions and concerns to any of us, and we will do our best to help!
