Do you feel like Lent seems to sneak up on you? Do you wish you had something new to do with your family or for yourself to make Lent more meaningful and intentional? Come to our Intergenerational Preparation Event on Sunday, March 2nd from 12:15-2:00 p.m. From 12:15 to 1:30, you can choose from a variety of 20 minute workshops and hands-on activities on topics focused on Prayer, Fasting and Almsgiving like:
CRS and the Rice Bowl
Parish Library Resources
Making the most of fasting
Small Christian Community
Crown of Thorns made from Salt Dough
These are some of the workshops we plan to have and there will be more. At 1:30, we will gather in the church for a short prayer service.
All are invited from age 2 to 92, whether you are single, a family with little ones at home or high schoolers, an empty nester, or a grandparent. We have designed this event to be family friendly, with childcare for children ages 6 and under, sandwiches between mass and the start of our program and hands-on activities for the kids. Our Lady the Teacher Homeschool Support Group is collaborating with Children's Faith Formation and other parish ministries to offer opportunity for the whole parish.
Come join us for a fun day of Lenten preparation as a community on Sunday, March 2nd
just before Ash Wednesday on March 5th!
