Ss Cosmas and Damian Church was built in Orting in 1889 and shared a pastor, Fr. John Rollinger, with All Saints Catholic Church in Puyallup. The Orting church became a mission to St Andrew Parish in 1921. 

The original church building was demolished in 1978 in order to build a new, larger worhip space. During the construction of the new church, services were held at the chapel of the Washington State Soldier's Home in Orting. 

The church was remodeled in 2008 and a new kitchen/gathering space was added. The church membership has grown to over 150 families.
